About the Journal

Edeb Erkan (EE) journal is an international, scientific, and peer-reviewed journal. It was established in 2022 and continues to publish articles biannually (May-November). Edeb Erkan is an academic platform for studies on Turkistan, Khorasan, Azerbaijan, Rum, and Rumeli Marifeti. In this context, it contributes to the understanding of topics such as Fütüvvet, Melamet, Kalenderlik, Yesevilik, Bektaşilik, Kızılbaşlık, and Sufism, and publishes qualified and original academic articles that will encourage new scientific developments and research in this field. The journal is limited to the areas of study and research in Social Sciences, particularly Cultural Studies, including Architecture, Art, Classics, Ethnic Studies, Family Studies, History, History and Philosophy of Science, Literature, Music, Philosophy, Religion, Psychology and Sociology, as an open platform.

 

Aim & Scope

Edeb Erkan journal aims to accept original research articles prepared by researchers in Turkish and English in accordance with scientific criteria and to publish them as open access and share them with the public. Each study sent to the journal for publication is subjected to double-blind peer-reviewed by at least two referees. In addition, a special program (iThenticate) used to detect similarity check confirms that the articles have not been previously published and do not contain plagiarism.

The journal's publication scope covers research articles in topics related to Cultural Studies, including Architecture, Art, Classics, Ethnic Studies, Family Studies, History, History and Philosophy of Science, Literature, Music, Philosophy, Religion, Psychology and Sociology, which fall under the fields of Social Sciences.

The studies should describe original data that have not been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Articles that comply with the submission rules and the journal's scope are sent to at least two expert referees for scientific evaluation.

Peer-Review Policy

Considering that Edeb Erkan aims to publish original and important articles, we ask the referees to help us evaluate the article submissions we receive. Each study sent to the journal for publication is subjected to double-blind peer-reviewed by at least two referees. The referees are selected among experts who have a PhD degree in the field of science to which the article relates and who have publications.

 

Fee Policy

Publication of articles in the journal and the process of conducting article reviews are not subject to any fees. No processing fees or submission fees are charged for articles submitted to or accepted for publication in the journal. Edeb Erkan journal does not accept sponsorship or advertising, in accordance with its publication policies. All expenses of the Edeb Erkan journal are covered by the publisher.

 

Publication Content

Edeb Erkan journal contains original scientific publications. All published articles, except editorial works, are subject to double-blind peer-reviewed process.

Originality of Articles

Edeb Erkan does not accept works previously published elsewhere. However, sometimes articles published in a foreign language can be considered.

Submitted articles must be appropriate to the aims and scope of the journal. Original, unpublished, and not under review in another journal, articles approved by each author for content and submission are considered for evaluation.
