Vatan Özgül’s book is the first work in literature, presenting method for examining historical texts through onomastics. It is determined that Osmancik's family is the same family as the Menguciks, based on a settled/civilized Turkic tribe called "Noble CIKs/Royal Scythians" having the "tradition of establishing and administering states". It is determined that Orhan Bey's ancestors were from Kimek-Bayat clan, although Osmancik raised Orhan, Osmancik’s real son was Balabancik. The identities of many famous spiritual leaders in the 13th century Anatolia are being deciphered. Detailed information is given about Babaism, the dominant spiritual school of the establishment period and the basis of the Alevism-Bektashism.
Keywords: Osmancik, Balabancik, Noble CIKs/Royal Scythians.
