Abubakr Ahmedjanovich Divaev, a member and employee of the Society of Archeology, History and Ethnography at the Imperial Kazan University, received an impression of the seal of Khoja Ahmed Yesevi during his stay in Central Asia in 1895. Divaev sent this impression along with a letter to the institution where he worked, and in 1896 an article about the seal was published by Pavel Nikolaevich Ahmerov. The article provides an image of the seal and evaluates the content of the inscriptions on the seal. Ahmerov manages to identify 6 out of 9 people whose names are indicated on the seal, except for the names of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Khoja Ahmed Yesevi. Although Yesevi's seal was subsequently published several times, it was first published as part of Ahmerov's article.
