The study we evaluated for publication was written by Iranian researcher, Mehrân Efşârî and his teacher Dr. Seyyid Ebu Talîb Mîr Abîdînî, a scholar of Persian language and literature. The authors have thoroughly examined and analyzed four fundamental treatises, known as the “Kalendername”, which encompass all beliefs, customs, and doctrines related to Kalenderîsm. This treatise was published as a book by Fararavn Publications in 1374 under the title “Âyîn-i Kalenderî.” The fourth treatise is poetic except for a prose introduction. In the introduction of the book, they explained the history and literature of Kalenderîsm and the broad terms of Kalenderî in the poems of Persian poets. Additionally, they also expressed all Kalenderî groups with short passages. They also present all Kalenderî groups briefly and provide biographical details for important dervishes, from Baba Tahir to Salman al-Farsi. These four treatises collectively present all characteristics of Kalenderîsm, making the book a comprehensive collection on the subject.
