Abstract

This translation consists of the article published by Ara Margos under the title Ak Yazılı Baba Tekkesi. In this study, Ara Margos prepared this article based on his archaeological studies in the area. Margos drew architectural plans and took photographs of the tekke. The article, which he enriched with plans and photographs, was later published in the museum magazine. Margos, together with his friend Architect Peter Petrov, also published a research on Mustafa Kanaat Baba Tekke in the museum magazine. In this article, Margos starts with the fact that the village of Ak Yazılı Baba Tekke, formerly known as Tekke, now known as Obroçişte, was located near the Batova River between Varna and Balçık, that the entire village was Muslim, that Circassians were settled there later, and that after the First World War, Circassians were sent away and Bulgarians from Thrace were settled there. Then he gives the measurements of the sections of the Ak Yazılı Tekke. Along with the dimensions of each section, a plan, drawing and photograph are included in the text.
