Mir Mohsun Navvab (1833-1919) is an important poet, literary, scholar, painter, historian, musician, lecturer and publisher who grew up in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan in the 19th century. He has more than twenty works in the fields of literature, history, religion, music and astronomy. Some of the works he wrote were published in his private printing house in Shusha, and some of them have survived to the present day in the form of manuscripts. Mir Mohsun Navvab is the author of works such as Turkish and Persian Divans, Tezkire-i Navvab, Shams al-Hidayeh, Bahr al-Huzan, Kenz al-Mihan, Mazlumnama, Kifayet al-Etfal, Batil al-Sihr, Nur al-Anvar, Vuzuh al- Arkam, Pendnama, Kashf al-Haqiqa, Armenian-Muslim Issue, Sharh-i Usturlab, Ziya al-Anvar and Mezamir. The poet's works such as Pendnama, Vuzuh al- Arkam, Armenian-Muslim Issue and his Turkish Divan have been published in the modern times. His other works, on the other hand, were not researched and published during the Soviet period due to their religious content. The poet's life, literary personality and some of his works were researched by Nasreddin Garayev, Zemfira Saferova, Ayten Haciyeva, Ali Mammadbaghiroğlu and Ali Aliyev.
